Vincent "Vinny" Lee (1943-1982) was a rock star, actor, and performance artist. For almost a decade, Lee was front man and bassist for the English glam-punk band Geist before becoming an accomplished solo artist with his progressive rock album Tetragrammaticon in 1978. He was slender and had a slow, low Mancunian accent and stood at a lanky 6’2”.
Vincenzo Francis Eliot Lee was born in 1943 to an Irish-English father (Dr. Xavier Eliot Lee, M.D.) and Sardinian-English mother (Francesca Lee née Melanie). His mother fled Sardinia to escape the rise of fascism in 1935. His father worked at a local vet hospital during the war, and met his mother when she was assigned as his nurse in 1941. They were married that year, and Francesca was pregnant by the next.
