Kenneth Oliver Fielding was an English actor, film director, author, and activist, best known for playing Ashur Shadowbringer in the doomed production of The Realm. Born in New York City and raised in Cardiff, Wales, Fielding discovered a passion for acting and theater at the age of nine. He studied at Oxford University and the RADA in London. He later appeared in critically successful films such as The Beaners (1974), Book Smart (1977), and The Dawn of Night (1979), and in the plays Seis de Mayo on Broadway and in London's West End, before being cast in The Realm in 1981.
